Alone!

There once was a boy named Billy McGill who lived alone at the top of a hill. He enjoyed his solitude until a mouse disrupted his peace. To solve this, Billy gets a cat, but the cat befriends the mouse. Subsequently, Billy brings in more animals to solve the problem, but they end up befriending each other and creating more chaos. Eventually, Billy's house becomes so crowded with animals that he is forced to move out. This leads him to discover whether he truly prefers solitude or if having companions is better. This laugh-out-loud story is richly illustrated and carries a gentle message about the value of friendship.
