Two kids, Ash and Daniel, bond over rescuing a dog named Chewbarka that's about to be euthanized. As they navigate their own struggles with identity and acceptance, they develop feelings for each other. However, things get complicated as Daniel initially perceives Ash as only a girl, unaware of Ash's fluid gender identity. Together, they face challenges related to truth, identity, and acceptance, while finding comfort in their unique friendship and their love for Chewbarka.
