From Lisa Moore Ramée, author of the Walter Honor Award-winning 'A Good Kind of Trouble', comes her debut middle grade fantasy about a Black boy named Walt, who has the magical ability to bring maps to life. After relocating to Blackbird Bay, Walt discovers his power and, along with his twin sister, Van, and new friend Dylan, gets stranded in the fantastical world of Djaruba that he created. As they navigate this magical world, they encounter a malevolent mapmaker with plans to destroy Djaruba and potentially Earth. Walt must use his abilities to save both worlds from destruction.
