Neversink

Barry Wolverton's debut novel, Neversink, is a middle-grade epic tale set on a small Arctic island called Neversink, home to a colony of seabirds called auks. The story follows Lockley J. Puffin and his friends as they face a threat from the newly crowned king of the Owl Parliament, Rozbell, who aims to take over their colony. The novel combines themes of survival, friendship, and humor, reminiscent of Watership Down and The Underneath.
