Petals in the Ashes

This gripping account of London's Great Fire of 1666 follows Hannah, a young woman determined to manage her sweetmeats shop despite the city's recent suffering from the Plague. With her sister Anne's help, Hannah reopens the shop and reunites with her beau, Tom. However, their happiness is short-lived as fires begin to ravage the city, ultimately destroying their shop and injuring Tom. Despite their losses, Hannah remains resolute to rebuild and trade under the sign of the sugared plum once again.
