Pirates Don't Play Cricket tells the story of two young friends, Dan and Priya, who discover a group of cricket-playing pirates on a beach. They join in a game with their new friends and everything is fun until a ship of evil pirates arrives. Together, they must use their cricket skills to defeat the evil pirates. The book, co-written by Rowan Gibson and New Zealand test cricketer Iain O'Brien, combines adventure, humor, and cricket references. It is filled with illustrations by Calvin Innes and will include an interactive iPad app with voice-overs from international cricketers. A portion of the proceeds will support the UK children's cricket charity, Chance To Shine.
