Stacey and the Cheerleaders

The book features Stacey McGill, a member of the Baby-Sitters Club, who has been given the opportunity to become a cheerleader. The story revolves around Stacey's struggles with her diabetes as she tries to balance her health, babysitting responsibilities, schoolwork, and cheerleading practices. Stacey starts dating a jock basketball player and falls in with a super-cool crowd, including the cheerleaders who ask her to try out for the squad. When Stacey begins dating Robert, she finds herself among the school's popular crowd--made up of jocks and cheerleaders--and the other members of the Baby-Sitters Club worry that they will lose her friendship.
