Description

In one story, Sun Catcher and her mare, Sunshine, encounter Stubborn Echo, a boy from her tribe, and a grizzly bear while riding in the forest. Echo and his horse, Ghost, fall into a pit, and Sun Catcher must rescue them despite Echo's dislike for her. In another story, Jani is upset about moving to the country, but brings her mare, Keeta. She discovers their new barn is haunted and, with the help of a new friend, seeks to free the angry spirit. Jani is distraught about moving, leaving school, her best and only friend Maria, and most of all, her riding school behind. Her only consolation is that she'll be able to take her mare Kate along. Kate will have a nice new paddock and even her own stable in a lovely old barn. But adventures await Jani as she settles into her new life. She soon befriends a girl named Penny.
