The Clue of the Screeching Owl

While on a camping trip in the Catskill Mountains and the Pocono Mountains, Frank and Joe Hardy encounter a series of mysterious and strange events. In the Catskill Mountains, they find a red-fringed Indian feather and a coded message that leads them to a missing man, a haunted house, and a screeching owl that may help solve the puzzle. In the Pocono Mountains, they are brought in to help solve the mystery of Black Hollow, where they encounter disappearing dogs, men, and terrifying screams. Alongside their friend Chet Morton, they find a small puppy that leads them to uncover unexpected circumstances involving a mute boy, an elusive hermit, and a fearless puma trainer.
