The Contract

The Contract is a middle-grade series inspired by the life of Derek Jeter, who overcomes his early challenges to become a New York Yankee, and later a baseball legend. The first five books in the series follow his journey from a young boy with big dreams to his rise to stardom in the world of baseball. The series, now available in a collectible boxed set, contains the books The Contract, Hit & Miss, Change Up, Fair Ball, and Curveball, which focus on setting high goals, thinking before acting, dealing with growing pains, learning that the world isn't always fair, and finding the right role models.
