The book follows two smart fourth graders, Stanley and Sophie, who love math, puzzles, and the detective agency they started in their school, Gollywood Elementary. Their first big case involves a stolen diamond. When the Claymore Diamond is stolen from Ravensburg’s finest jewelry store, Stanley gets the bright idea to start a detective agency with his friends. Armed with curiosity and their love for math, Stanley, Charlotte, Gertie, and Felix race around town in an attempt to solve the mystery. Along the way, they clash with an ambitious police chief, uncover dark secrets, and drink lots of milkshakes at Mabel's Diner. But when their backs are against the wall, they rely on the one thing they know best: numbers, because numbers never lie. This story invites kids to get lost in an adventure and maybe even enjoy math.
