The Princess and the Pea

The classic fairy tale 'The Princess and the Pea' tells the story of a prince searching for a true princess to marry. One stormy night, a young woman seeks shelter in the prince's castle claiming to be a princess. To test her claim, the queen places a small pea under twenty mattresses and twenty featherbeds. Only a true princess would be sensitive enough to feel the pea through all the layers. The next morning, the young woman complains of discomfort, proving her sensitivity and royal status. The prince rejoices, and they soon marry, living happily ever after.
