The Reptile Room

The Baudelaire orphans are sent to live with their Uncle Monty, a renowned herpetologist. They have a wonderful time until the arrival of Count Olaf in disguise, who is determined to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune. Despite initially enjoying their time with some interesting reptiles and their giddy uncle, the siblings eventually face a series of unfortunate events including a car accident, a terrible odor, a deadly serpent, a long knife, a large brass reading lamp, and the reappearance of Count Olaf. The story takes a dark turn as their misfortunes continue.
