The Scarlet Slipper Mystery

Nancy Drew's quest for the driver who mowed down Kim Baylor in a hit-and-run and the search for the missing Stratemeyer Chalice lead her into a network of underworld gangsters and criminals. Nancy meets Helene and Henri Fontaine, refugees from Centorvia who run a dancing school in River Heights. Under strange circumstances, they receive an anonymous note threatening their lives. Nancy offers her help but encounters puzzling situations. The Fontaines are suspected to be involved with the Centrovian underground and later disappear. Nancy and her friends pursue the trail despite the danger lurking around every corner.
