The Smurfs are back with new stories in English for the first time. After a poor harvest leads to a food shortage in Smurf village, Homnibus gives the Smurfs a sack of purple beans as a food solution. Papa Smurf, Farmer Smurf, and Chef Smurf introduce a new meal using the beans, which becomes extremely popular. However, the beans cause many Smurfs to become overweight. Led by Smurfette, a small group resists the beans and advocates for a healthier lifestyle.
