The Wombles are fictional creatures who live in burrows and recycle human rubbish to help the environment. In 'The Wombles to the Rescue', they face challenges when heavy lorries threaten their home and a human energy crisis leads to fewer supplies. Led by DIY king Tobermory, the Wombles launch emergency special projects to address these issues and ensure the safety of their home on Wimbledon Common.
