Danger lurks in every corner for a poor, harried mouse named Tendu. After escaping a cat's cruel claws, he finds himself in an elegant theater. Despite the opulent surroundings, his life is still in danger as sword-wielding soldiers and an irate custodian give chase. Entranced by the music and dancers, especially the beautiful ballerina Celeste, Tendu's soul is touched, igniting his passion for dance.
